(Excerpt from the "Clinical Progress Notes" section.) Female patient, age unknown; estimated age 5–7 years. Brought in by a third party and unconscious upon admission. Both lower limbs were severed after being crushed by a heavy object, with severe infection at the amputation sites and a systemic inflammatory response. Vital signs remain unstable. Condition critical.
